A new children’s book about dental health was published in 2015 and written by dental hygienist author, Joanne L. Roos, RDH, BS.  The book is intended to increase the comfort level of children about receiving dental care. With over 20 years of experience, and currently working at a pediatric dental practice developing dental outreach programs,  Ms. Roos visits over 100 schools annually teaching thousands of children self-care practices.

The book is titled, Who Visits Me from A to Z: An Alphabetical Adventure to the Dentist, and features a woman on the front cover with an RDH identifier on her lab coat pocket embracing an Alligator for A and a Zebra for Z.  The book will be valued in oral healthcare settings and by parents and children in preparation for the first oral health visit.  It can be purchased through Amazon.
